Secretary Reyes last year 2005 spoke at the monthly Anvil Exchange Forum, and Anvil Business Club then publicly endorsed his confirmation by the Congress with a unanimous resolution by the Anvil Board of Directors. Anvil wrote letters to the Senate, House of Representatives to endorse General Reyes' confirmation then as Secretary of the Department of Interior & Local Government (DILG). Anvil expressed appreciation last year for his successful and iron-fisted responses to the kidnapping menace.
